Baoh: The Visitor (バオー来訪者, Baō Raihōsha) is a manga written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki; originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1984 to 1985, and later compiled into two tankōbonW volumes. The manga was licensed in English and released in monthly chapters by VIZ Media in 1990. Financially unsuccessful, it was not until 1995 that they released it in tankōbon format. Making his debut in 1984, Ikuro Hashizawa is the 17-year-old protagonist of the manga series Baoh (known in Japan and some other countries as Baoh the Visitor), arguably one of Hirohiko Araki's most famous pre-JoJo works. After being kidnapped by a secret military organization called Dress, Ikuro is forcefully implanted with a parasitic worm that grants its host superhuman powers, turning him into the unstoppable bioweapon BAOH (Biological Armament On Help). After escaping from the organization with the help of a 9-year-old psychic named Sumire, they are now on the run from the organization and its assassins.
